ECNL Introduces Special Player Combines

Another Benefit to Players as the Only Official Franchise of ECNL in Oklahoma

At the ECNL AGM in Denver (which Kerry Shubert and John Rhein attended), the league announced it is introducing a new component of the ECNL Player Identification Program for the 2011-2012 season – the ECNL Combines.  In 2011-2012, there will be 10 ECNL Combines across the country, with every ECNL Club assigned to one combine either based upon their conference or their geographic location.  ECNL Combines will bring together the top 60 players within the conference or geographic region for a weekend of training, competition, and education.  The ECNL will be covering the costs of participation in the ECNL Combine, excluding travel costs for participating players.  See attached document about the basics of the ECNL Combine program.

TSC Hurricane has been assigned to the ECNL Texas Combine, which will tentatively be held in Dallas, TX, tentatively in early 2012.  The clubs participating in this combine are: Dallas Sting, Dallas Texans, Solar, FC Dallas, D’Feeters, Lonestar, Challenge Soccer Club and TSC Hurricane.

Every ECNL Combine has a Combine Director who will be working with the participating clubs to identify a date for the combine, coordinate logistics, and collect player recommendations from the participating clubs, among other things.  The Combine Director for the Texas Combine is Pat O’Toole (Challenge DOC) who TSC Hurricane has a very strong relationship with.

We are very excited about the opportunities that the ECNL Combines will provide for players of TSC Hurricane.  Please check our site for further updates in the future.
