Four New Clubs Join JDL

The successful Junior Development League (JDL) continues to grow with the addition of four new clubs bringing the number of clubs to eight for the Spring 2015 season.

Additional quality clubs continue to apply to join the JDL as they have found the league to be a very attractive option for their juniors teams.  This has contributed to more growth of the program in both quality and diversity.  The JDL has become the "go to" league for the major clubs in the area for the U7-10 ages.  There is no additional "league" costs for the JDL - just quality clubs working together.

The clubs leverage these events to create enhanced development situations for players using the 5v5, 7v7 or 9v9 format as endorsed by each club and US Soccer.  The focus is development through matching the optimal competitive balance amongst teams rather than results.  Coaches are also encouraged to try new methods during games that promote or reinforce learning objectives.

The JDL welcomes Ft. Smith Express, NWA Lightning, Arkansas Comets and Highlanders FC beginning Spring 2015.  TSCH and current club partners NEOFC, WSA and NOKC will continue to host home and away series.  The Arkansas Clubs will travel to Tulsa for a few play dates and some of our TSCH juniors teams will also plan to travel to Ft. Smith.  Play dates are being finalized and TBA soon.
