Michael will assume the head coach role beginning with the match vs LA Galaxy II this Wednesday, June 27 at 7:30pm at ONEOK Field. Michael played with the LA Galaxy during his MLS career so that coupled with the opportunity to start his professional career against his previous club in his home town is special.
“I’m excited for this opportunity to coach the Roughnecks especially in my home town. I grew up having no local professional opportunities so I also view this as an exciting opportunity to further develop and prepare our ECNL players for the professional level. This arrangement will benefit our program as I’ll continue to coach our ECNL teams, “ says boys Director Michael Nsien
Mike has his USSF National A license and through the club, Mike has also achieved his UEFA A license. His coaching experience, credentials and familiarity with players make him the ideal person for the job.
Michael will assume the head coaching role while also continuing to coach his ECNL squads and oversee the ECNL program.
“We are excited for Mike and this opportunity for him. I know he’s well respected and has done a tremendous job while on the Roughnecks staff. I have confidence he will make a big impact in the team. We’ve already been having discussions about a plan to make sure Mike will still be able to lead our boys ECNL program with effectively coaching his teams while also coaching the Roughnecks. This will also be a great opportunity for our boys ECNL players,” says Jim Tindell, TSCH Executive Director
