Match Recap: Tulsa SC vs FC Dallas

Tulsa SC Earns Second Win of the Season

TULSA- Tulsa SC (2-2-1) continued on with its winning momentum with a 1-0 victory over FC Dallas in their 3rd home match of the season. Throughout the first half, both teams shared possession and had a good number of shots on goal.In the 25thminute, Tulsa SC would see its first on-goal opportunity but would just skim over the goal post. FC Dallas then kicked things up a notch with a service into the box in the 29th minute, but it would be goalkeeper Peyton Pearson who came out to clear FC Dallas' opportunity away. Tulsa SC and FC Dallas would go into the locker rooms for half nil-nil.

Coming into the second half, Tulsa SC was eager to get on the board early and, with a brace in the 49th minute from Morgan Schaefer, Tulsa SC went up 1-0 over FC Dallas. Tulsa SC continued to work the FC Dallas defense again to get another goal, but all opportunities would fall short. In the 59th minute, Tulsa SC would see a great scoring opportunity when Hannah Chance would go on to have a 1v1 opportunity with the FC Dallas goalie but was eventually called for an offsides penalty. As regular time came to an end, FC Dallas found another gear and began to press the Tulsa SC defense, but they were never able to break through goalkeeper Peyton Pearson. Peayton Pearson secured a clean sheet tonight by making two phenomenal saves in the last ten minutes of the match to keep FC Dallas off the scoreboard and give Tulsa SC their second win of the season.

"It's nice to have play against FC Dallas at home with our home fans and everyone here to support us. The first half was ok, we had some chances and they had some chances. Heading into the second half, we made some adjustments and I think when we came out we dominated the play for the first 15–20 minutes, which is what resulted in a great goal by Morgan Schaefer. In the last 15 minutes, FC Dallas began to start pushing a lot and pushing bodies forward, and we had to defend very heavily with the entire team to keep them out of the back of our net and get a slim 1-0 victory." said Coach Aaron Crouch.
